“We are free to choose our paths, but we can’t choose the consequences that come with them” -Sean Covey
Today’s world is full of choices and sometimes it becomes so overwhelming since we are all seeking to make choices that will yield positive results in our lives– peace and happiness. We can become stuck in analysis paralysis and instead of making those important life choices we refer back to our social media feed to distract us from what is truly important.
So how do we become better decision makers so that we can yield positive results down the road?
I believe it is a combination of following our “gut feelings” and keeping the end in mind. The next time you have to make a big choice ask yourself:
How do I want my life to look like 20 years down the road? If your current choice will not get you closer to that vision, then don’t follow through with that option.
Make sure you always keep the bigger picture in mind.
