“Meditation is the discovery that the point of life is always arrived at in the immediate moment.” – Alan Watts
Happy Wise Words Wednesday everyone:
The most popular response about meditation is, “well I don’t know how to meditate”, or “Meditation is hard for me”. I wanted to understand why people felt this way about meditation, since meditation is something that makes us connect deeper with ourselves. I found that most people have a huge misconception about it.
For most people meditation is sitting still for an hour or a couple minutes and having “Nooo thoughts” go through their minds, but this is impossible for as long as you’re alive. When you define meditation as having no thoughts, then yea, it’s going to be pretty impossible to practice it.
There is so much information out there on meditation and many of it seems to confuse and discourage beginners.
In today’s episode I was inspired to clarify what meditation truly is, and how to use it in your everyday life effortlessly. (watch below)
Now that you have watched this week’s episode, I would love to know if you practice meditation, and if so, how have you benefited from it?
