“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney
We see Disney Land today and automatically think of the happiest place on earth. BUT, it wasn’t always that way. Walt Disney’s first company went bankrupt in 1923. Later, the rights to one of his animated characters was stolen. In 1941, there was a strike by Disney’s animators and they all resigned. This pushed back the Disney dream almost a whole decade. To make a long story short, Walt Disney’s journey was not an easy one and brought about a lot of set backs. What made him successful, wasn’t luck it was his courage. He looked at his fears and setbacks as something he had to overcome and work at. He understood that the only way to truly fail is to quit on a dream. Every time he dealt with a scary situation he propelled forward and saw it as another learning experience which allowed him to grow his business into what it is today. There is no way in hell to grow if you ain’t learning and with learning comes mistakes and fighting your own internal fears.
Many people consider those that are able to live in their dreams successfully as “lucky”. I feel that the word, “lucky” gets thrown around in conversations where people can’t really explain someone else’s success. Luck, however, doesn’t exist, what does exist is perseverance, hard work, and a whole lot of courage. Those are the secrets to success! The problem is that most people only hear the successful part of the story, and don’t take the time to understand how that person reached success.
In today’s episode I explain the number one thing “lucky” people do differently from the average Joe which allows them to accomplish their goals and live the life of their dreams | the life they were meant to live.
Do you have what it takes to look at “scary situations” and use it to propel you forward? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
